Chip-In’s (the good)
Jason Day Wins the WGC Match Play
Well my golf picks on Tuesday were horrible, I had picked Dustin Johnson to win the WGC Match Play. But on Saturday, I made another round of match play picks and nailed it! Does that count? No, it doesn’t. But congrats to Jason Day for outlasting Victor Dubuisson to win 1-up after 23 golf holes. Yeah, they played golf for almost 11 hours on Sunday.
Victor Dubuisson a Star in the Making?
A guy by the name of Victor Dubuisson gained some fans this weekend with his chipping skills from the Arizona desert. He pulled off two amazing chips when everyone counted him out, making pars on both holes to extend the match. He’s only 23 years old and has one European Tour win in 2013. PGA golfers seem to already know the guy, but I am sure we will be seeing more of him in the near future. He’s a good player!
Chunks (the bad)
Dustin Johnson
Yeah, one of the hottest players during the last 6 weeks got booted in the first round. Now is that enough to constitute a “chunk” title in this week’s post? Hell yeah it does, I had picked him to win.
Oh well, we’re on to Florida where the best players in the world will be teeing it up at the Honda Classic. We should see Tiger and Phil and Rory back in action this week and the coming weeks.
