The Tour Championship field is set and the top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings after the BMW Championship are heading to Atlanta for the final golf tournament of the PGA Tour season.
With the wire-to-wire victory at the BMW Championship for, Jason Day stays atop the FedEx Cup standings and will be the new number one ranked player in the world when the tournament tees off at East Lake Golf Club on Thursday.
The FedEx Cup points will be reset for the Tour Championship, giving the top five in the standings a chance to control their own destiny. Day, along with the next four in the standings, all can win the $10 million prize if they win the Tour Championship.
All 30 players in the field also receive exemptions into the first three majors in 2016, meaning making it to Atlanta is much more meaningful for the ones who might not have a chance at winning the $10 million ultimate prize.
