Golf Blog Foursome is a weekly feature offering up some of the best golf blog posts from this past week. There’s hundreds of great golf blogs and here’s four of the best articles I’ve read from the past week.
GeoffShackelford.com: Augusta National Makes Special Preparations for Tiger Woods
What’s better than a couple good April’s Fools jokes on the first day of April? In the golf blogging world, you can rest assured there was a fair share. Geoff Shackelford actually wrote a couple spoof articles this past Wednesday, but none better than the preparations Augusta made for the now world famous visit he made on Tuesday. It’s really good stuff.
NoLayingUp.com: Masters Mailbag
Although it’s not quite Master’s week yet, No Laying Up decided it was time to unlock his Masters Mailbag a week early and answer some of the most pressing questions on the minds of golf nuts. In one of the questions, he pretty much nailed it on the head when asked: “If Eldrick announces he’s playing or not what level of annoyance will the build up be?”
Of course, this was the same day Tiger’s plane was spotted at the Augusta airport and the Twitter world pretty much went wacko.
Oh, and thanks to No Laying Up for including my questions as well!
GolfUnfiltered.com: Masters Moments: 9 Most Memorable Shots
As you can see here, we have a trend going now. Over at Golf Unfiltered, they laid out the most memorable shots in Masters history, with video. There’s been so many good shots over the years at Augusta but I can’t argue with GU on these nine. These nine are pretty damn good if you ask me.
We’re sure to have more memorable shots next week in the 2015 edition of The Masters but we’ll have to wait and see if any break into that “most memorable” category.
MyGolfSpy: 2015 Most Wanted Driver Tests
My Golf Spy is on a mission to change the golf equipment testing industry. They’ve been doing it differently for years and claim they do not accept any marketing money from the big golf shops. They’ve also recently launched a IndieGoGo campaign to raise money to begin extensive testing. Earlier this week, they released their 2015 Most Wanted Driver tests.
