The report broke earlier today that Tiger Woods has been recently seen at home in Isleworth hititng balls and is in the process of getting back into the routine of training. What that means no one really knows. If the reports are true, all it truly means is he could be close to coming back. Of course it is all speculation. All the Tiger talk is speculation. Especially when you have one of the most respected and quite possibly the largest golf magazine, Golf Digest, coming out today and retracting a previous story that President Obama called Tiger personally during rehab. So who knows anything? The only person to know is Tiger and his closest handlers.
But one of the best articles on the topic I read today was over at Sports by Brooks. His post stated that all the “anonymous” sources quoted in the AP article point torwards a source within the Tiger camp. Doug Ferguson, the AP writer who broke the story, has long been friends with the Tiger camp. Brooks stated also this is Tiger’s way of controlling the gossip rags from publishing stories and getting paid for breaking any Tiger comeback stories. The same thing happen when the jogging photos and range photos “surfaced” a few days before his press conference.
No one will know for sure until something is posted on TigerWoods.com. I predict he will play in the Tavistock Cup on March 22 and then Bay Hill that same week. Then off to The Masters. But I am now just speculating so I will put it to rest now.
Lets just hope it’s sooner-than-later.
