The Children’s Miracle Network Classic tees it up on Thursday in the final official event of the 2010 PGA Tour season. There are eight 2010 winners in the field this week and 11 major winners in the field. For a tournament in the middle of November, the field is pretty good. My picks for the Children’s Miracle Network Classic go a little like this:
Rickie Fowler– Yes, I am going to pick Fowler again. A win would only cap off a great rookie season where he has basically already locked up the Rookie of the Year. He is also one shot behind Troy Merritt for the Kodak Challenge and I’m sure the extra million that goes along with that challenge is on his mind. I expect Rickie to be near the top of the leaderboard on Sunday.
Ryan Palmer– He is one of the eight winners of 2010 entered in the field and Palmer has just flat out been playing great all year. With a trip to Augusta on the agenda for next year and close to $3 million in the bank this year, you would think Ryan would be taking the winter off. It would be great if this fellow Texan can add another win to his resume for 2010.
Davis Love III- Davis won the 2008 Children’s Miracle Network Classic and has played well in other years. The win gave Davis his 20th victory of his career and a lifetime exemption on tour. He has played well of late with multiple rounds in the 60’s. This is my overall favorite and I would love to see Davis win… (no pun intended)
Jeff Overton– He has played great all year. Five top-three finishes and a Ryder Cup under his sleeve this year. The only thing missing… a win! What a better time for his first victory then the last event of the year.
