Valero Texas Open and Greg Norman Productions Team up to operate historic tournament
The possibility of having Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy playing in San Antonio might have gotten a little closer on Tuesday. The Valero Texas Open and Greg Norman Productions announced a multi-year deal on that brings some clout to an already historic PGA Tour event. Brendan Steele Wins Valero Texas Open
In 2010, TPC San Antonio ranked as the sixth hardest golf course played on the PGA Tour. In 2011, when all is said and done, the golf course this year may go down as THE toughest course on TOUR. The TPC San Antonio Oaks course is just flat-out tough. On top of the challenging greens and strong winds that blew all week, there is no wonder why 8-under par won this tournament.
