The rumors are all over the internet. Tiger Woods has completed his sex rehab in Mississippi and his wife Elin flew there last Friday in the middle of the night to pick him up. The reports also state he has been reunited with his kids, which he hasn't seen in over a month, and he and his wife are planning to get away for a bit to be by themselves to work on their marriage some more. Rumors have been rampant all week as well that his return was to be in Arizona in two weeks at the WGC … [Read more...]

Three Questions With Phil
This week Phil Mickelson will be making his PGA Tour debut playing at the Farmers Insurance Open at the great Torrey Pines. Phil met with the media today and granted me a quick one-on-one interview after he fulfilled all his other press duties. I am hoping to be landing a lot of these interviews during the 2010 PGA Tour so I hope you come back to check them all out. front9back9: Hey Phil. You are looking trim and fit. How to you feel physically? Phil: I feel great. I stopped eating … [Read more...]
Horrible Week in Fantasy Golf
I just had a horrible week in fantasy golf. I lost 16 positions and dropped to #38 for the week in the Fans of Devil Ball Yahoo fantasy league. My two "A Players" both missed the cut. Thanks Justin Leonard and Scott Verplank. Charles Howell III and Pat Perez got me solid points for the week and Mike Weir, my "C Player" added 60 points. I added a whopping 158 points for the Winter part of the season. This week at the Farmers, I opted to not go with Phil just in case he is just a bit … [Read more...]
PGA Tour Facing a Possible Decision to Save Itself in the Future
I read an interesting article today over at Devil Ball Golf that made me start thinking about the future of the PGA Tour and seriously brought to mind what could happen down the road. The article at Devil Ball Golf referenced an article by Tim Rosanforte, the great golf writer for Golf Digest and the on air "insider" for PGA Tour broadcasts, saying we could be getting close to the PGA Tour invoking the 1-in-4 rule meaning members of the PGA Tour would have to play every tournament on tour every … [Read more...]
Bill Haas Wins the Bob Hope
Bill Haas pulled out his first PGA Tour victory today in the final Round of the Bob Hope Classic. A birdie on the 18th hole gave him a one shot victory over Bubba Watson, Tim Clark, and Matt Kuchar. Good for Bill Hass but DAMMIT!! I wanted to see Bubba Watson take the victory. Oh well. Bubba will get his first victory sometime and I hope it's sooner than later. This year seemed to not be as big of a circus as years past. When you have to play five rounds of golf for the week and top … [Read more...]
Ryan Palmer Wins Sony Open
Sitting here watching the end of the Sony Open and Ryan Palmer has just won for his third time on the PGA Tour. Good win for a fellow Dallas Cowboys fan and native Texan. Robert Allenby had a good round going but petered out at the end while it seemed Palmer just hit it close on every hole. I wsa rooting for Stricker but just because it would have gotten me good points in my fantasy league. Retief Goosen was hot today shooting a 62 to get a fourth place finish. Now the two opening … [Read more...]
Yahoo Fantasy Golf Week 1
For the last 6 or 7 years I guess, I have always played fantasy football and baseball. But this year will be my first year for fantasy golf. I joined another golf blog's fantasy group, Devil Ball Golf, and hope to maybe make my mark in this group and prove I know my golf. The first week, I scored a total of 208. In this group that puts you tied for 40th place. The winner scored 237 for week 1. Week 2 will be different. My starting lineup for day one consists of Zach Johnson, Rory … [Read more...]
Hello?? Mom, Dad…. Can I Borrow $183 Million??
The famed Four Seasons Resort and Club outside Dallas is facing foreclosue. Yes the same site that hosts the ever popular HP Byron Nelson Championship each year is headed to auction February 2nd if the bank and the owners, BentleyForbes, cannot work out a deal to restructure the debt. What I cannot confirm or seem to find is if BentleyForbes actually owns the golf course since it is a TPC course. The article I read on Yahoo Sports states the entire 400 acre luxury resort is in … [Read more...]
Interesting Tiger Woods Development
Sports by Brooks reported yesterday via TigerWoodsIsGod.com, the PGA Tour has announced Tiger Woods will NOT be the host of his annual tournament in the DC area. The AT&T National is a tournament benefiting The Tiger Woods Foundation. The tournament will still give the proceeds to the foundation, but only because of contract agreement running through 2014. This is huge. It is so so interesting to me that Golf.com, ESPN.com, CBSSports.com, or any other huge sports site is not reporting … [Read more...]
Swede’s Stick Together
Boy do Swede’s stick together in difficult times.. LPGA player, Helen Alfredsson, seems to have the back of Elin Nordegren and is the latest player to pile on Tiger Woods. According to the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, Alfredsson heard about Tiger’s infidelities last July during the British Open played at Turnberry. Alfredsson is quoted as saying “In the quietest water swims the ugliest fish” referring to Tiger Woods. In the same article she questions why Tiger even got married and asked “is … [Read more...]
Final Golf World Rankings for 2009
The final World Golf Rankings for 2009 were released today and there was really no surprise in the top 30. There were no changes compared to last week's rankings until you get to #38 and 39 where Graeme McDowell and Francesco Molinari swapped places. The United States has five of the top ten players in the world with Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Steve Stricker ranking #1-3 respectively. Jim Furyk ends the year at #6 and Kenny Perry rounds out the top ten ranked #10. Just looking at … [Read more...]
Adam Scott Wins
It's good to see Adam Scott back in the winning circle again. In 2009, Adam played 19 PGA Tour events and only made the cut in nine of those events. Not very good for the #3 ranked player in the world at the beginning of the year. His ranking dropped to 74 this year but his four top 10 finishes in the last four tournaments, including the win in the Australian Masters, has pushed his world ranking up to #34. Let's hope he can continue this good play heading into 2010. … [Read more...]
It Aint Jack’s Tour Anymore
I was talking to a buddy of mine today and we found ourselves talking again about what else but Tiger Woods and the breaking news today involving his mother-in-law and the alleged mistresses that keep coming out of the wood works. He made a good point that I think is worth mentioning. This thing has now turned into a absolute media circus with no end in sight. This debacle has just shown how much the game has changed since the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Lee Trevino played. … [Read more...]
