The first weekend in December normally is pretty boring in the golf world, but this one turned out to be pretty entertaining. Here is a quick recap of what happen this past weekend. If you don't know already, Tiger Woods blew a four shot lead and lost his own tournament at the Chevron World Challenge. Tiger says it's a positive step and he's fine with blowing his lead. LPGA Signs New Sponsor
The LPGA signed a new sponsor recently and created the Sybase Match Play Championship to be held in New York at Hamilton Farm Golf Club. The event will be held May 20-23 and invite the the top 64 LPGA Tour professionals. It's good to see Sybase step up and become a sponsor again. Sybase was a sponsor for another event since 2001. The HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship was held at Hamilton Farm in 2005 and 2006. Should be a good event. I will be on the lookout for that … [Read more...]
