One day after reports out of Las Vegas said Anthony Kim was at the Bellagio dropping F-bombs and partying the night away, he has officially withdrawn from the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open citing wrist issues. I had high hopes Anthony this week. When I was putting together my Golf Picks & Predictions last night I picked Anthony to win for the week but had to change it this morning before posting due to his withdrawl. His management team at IMG has come out and … [Read more...]

Well the closest I got last week with my picks for the Frys.com Open was Rickie Folwer finishing in 4th place. I had Rocco Mediate as my dark horse but decided to go with John Daly instead... OK, just kidding. I didn't even take a look at Rocco but congrats on his win last week. Now this week should be fun. Just Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. Say that three times fast... Hunter Mahan- Hunter felt like he lost the Ryder Cup for the U.S. In his first tournament back … [Read more...]

What would you do if your 15 minutes were up and you were so desperate and were seeking to stretch out one more minute of fame? Well if you are Devon James, you find someone on the street and offer them $1,000 to act like Tiger Woods and have sex with you. Basically, do what you know best, acting like a whore. Yes.You read that right. Devon James, one of the skanks who is bitter because she didn’t get paid by Tiger Woods, reportedly recently went out and found a guy off the … [Read more...]
Transgender Golfer Suing LPGA Tour
What is setting up to potentially be a showdown in the courts, a transgender golfer, Lana Lawless, is suing the LPGA and two title sponsors after rules and regulations state you must be "female at birth." Lawless had gender reassignment surgery in 2005 and won the long drive championship in 2008. The Long Drivers of America, which oversees the event has recently barred Lawless from competing after adopting similar rules to the LPGA. Lawless is trying to prevent the LPGA from holding … [Read more...]

Can You Tell It’s A Slow Golf Month?
My last two posts have been a Happy Anniversary for Titleist and a Happy Birthday for Michelle Wie. Can you tell it's a slow golf time since the Ryder Cup ended? Besides Tiger Woods playing in Thailand and Shanghai in November and talk about Lee Westwood overtaking #1 at the end of October, there is not much to talk about. The Fall Series on the PGA Tour is in full swing and guys are fighting to earn those last few dollars to keep their cards. Other than these things there is not too much … [Read more...]
Happy Birthday Michelle Wie
Happy Birthday Michelle Wie. Today she turns 21 years old. It has been almost six years now that her much anticipated pro debut on the LPGA tour resulted in a disqualification due to an incorrect scorecard. With two victories under her belt, and a Stanford degree in the near future, I wonder how long it's going to be until we start to hear about her trying her way onto the PGA Tour. It's been a few years now that anybody has really mentioned it, and I'm glad she finally came to her … [Read more...]
Top 5 Ryder Cup Captain Picks For Medinah In 2012
With the 2010 Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor still somewhat fresh in our minds, I thought I would write a few names who would be my top 5 picks for the possible captain selection for the 2010 Ryder Cup at Medinah Country Club outside Chicago. The PGA of America is responsible for picking the captain, which will probably take place in December 2010. The PGA of America has a few guidelines to narrow down the names of potential captain selections, which include having won a PGA Championship or at … [Read more...]
Europe Wins The Ryder Cup
As you can tell by the boring title, I am not too excited Europe won the Ryder Cup. I woke up again at 5:00 a.m. today and watched about an 1 1/2 hours worth of the coverage until I had to leave for my real job. Then when I got to this real job, I streamed an hour worth of it on RyderCup.com until my colleagues starting showing up and then I decided I needed to turn it off so I just hit refresh on my browser every three minutes in-between catching up on other news. So as you may be able to … [Read more...]

United States Ryder Cup Team Making Comeback
See, what did I tell you... It was only about two hours ago that I wrote live coverage had begun again and the U.S. team was down in six matches. Now they are up in one match and two others are all square. So that puts Europe up in one match as well. If the U.S. can close out that one match they are up in and get the full point and end the other two with halves then that will be a great boost for the U.S. team. Let's go USA!! … [Read more...]
United States Ryder Cup Team Struggling
Ryder Cup coverage has resumed on NBC finally after another lengthy rain delay and things don't seem to be turning around for the Americans right now. They are still currently down in five matches and Woods and Stricker have already lost their match to Westwood and Donald. The matches will definetely have to finish on Monday now and Woods and Stricker need to go do something to get their games back. The U.S team is up 6 to 5 right now over the Europeans. Currently as I write this, two … [Read more...]
Fed Ex Cup Showdown
So I was reading an article on PGATOUR.com trying to explain the numerous scenarios that could play out today in the final round of the Tour Championship and who could possibly be crowned the next Fed Ex Cup Champion. Halfway through the article I gave up and skimmed the rest of the article. There are so many different scenarios and I am just going to let the TV telecast explain it to me during the round tomorrow. It sure is setting up to be a great finish though. It doesn't look like Phil … [Read more...]
PGA Championship Setting Up For A Great Finish
There was no fog delay Saturday morning and it looks as if they will get getting back on schedule by the end of the day. Some of the biggest names in golf are starting to get closer to the leader, Matt Kuchar. The conditions are perfect right now. Rain overnight has softened the course even more and the wind is pretty calm right now. That can change at anytime but right now is the time for Tiger, Vijay, and Bubba Watson to get some birdies before they go out for the start of their third … [Read more...]
Tiger Struggling To Find A Groove
Tiger Woods was the fourth group off on Saturday morning in the third round of the Bridgestone Invitational and again struggled to get anything going. By the time the early Golf Channel coverage started, Tiger was already finished. He again refused to talk to the media after his round. During the CBS coverage in the afternoon, they went back and showed some highlights of his round, and it was not pretty. Missed greens, missed fairways, irons 25 and 30 yards off line, chunked chips, and putts … [Read more...]
Sweet 59
You can now add Stuart Appleby to the "59 Club" on the PGA Tour. In the final round of The Greenbrier Classic, Appleby finished with three birdies in a row to shoot the low round, adding his name to the likes of David Duval, Al Geiberger, Chip Beck and only three weeks ago, Paul Goydos in the John Deere Classic. Is it enough to get his first victory? CBS put up a graphic during the round saying Appleby hasn't shot below a 65 in something like 358 rounds of competitive golf, and he hasn't … [Read more...]
David vs Congressional
The United States Golf Association revealed an updated Congressional County Club today, making the 2011 U.S. Open course setup a thing of beauty. All 18 greens have been rebuilt, and Mike Davis and the USGA have added seven tee boxes to stretch it out to 7,568 yards, 300 yards longer then the 1997 U.S. Open won by Ernie Els. My favorite hole on the course, #18, has been lengthened to 521 yards and will force players to hit mid or long irons into the green. In 1997, the 18th played as #17, … [Read more...]
Surprise, Surprise..Tiger Commits to Bridgestone
Can you honestly say you were expecting Tiger Woods to sit out the WGC Bridgestone Invitational next week at Firestone? Well the headlines on every golf and sports website today seemed to lead with Tiger committing to the tournament. A lot of people acted surprised for some reason. Tiger rarely plays the week before a major, but next week is different. He always plays this tournament the week before the PGA Championship. And why not when you seem to own the course, right? Tiger is the … [Read more...]
Habits of Popular Golf Partners
Bill Pennington, a golf blogger for the New York Times, has complied a list of The 10 Simple Habits of Popular Golf Partners. Some I agree with and some I don't care about so I thought I would share my thoughts. 1.) Be on time- This is my number one pet peeve on the golf course. I hate when my playing partners are late. I try to get to the course at least 45 minutes before my tee time if not an hour and when one of my friends comes strolling up when we are suppose to be teeing off just … [Read more...]
Brickyard Crossing Golf Club
While I was watching Sports Center coverage earlier about today's Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, they showed a fly over of the race track and were talking about how large the actual facility is. They also mentioned there is golf course right next to the track, Brickyard Crossing, and four holes of this course actually go inside the racetrack. It looks like a pretty nice course and I regret not getting to play it five years ago when I was in Indianapolis visiting my good … [Read more...]
