From Front9Back9, Ryan’s dad and mom want to thank all of the golf bloggers and the #golfchat twetters who have reached out to our family. A special thanks to Zeb for including our family in Tuesday’s (08.02.16) #golfchat.
Ryan’s last 36 were played in the Destin, Florida area while on a family vacation. Ryan’s brother, Kyle and I, joined Ryan to play two great layouts, Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club and Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club. Ryan was consistent with an 85 and 84. I will always be thankful for being able to play with Ryan during his final 36.
Ryan was scheduled to play in a four man scramble to benefit The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio on August 8, 2016. Ryan’s Uncle Brett, who flipped the bill for our foursome, honored Ryan on the 15th hole at Canyon Springs Golf Club with a “In Memory of Ryan Young sign.” Thanks brother-in-law for what you have meant to us during these times. Kyle, Ryan’s brother, played in honor of Ryan and cousin Jeremy made up the rest of the foursome. Thanks to Jeremy’s massive length off the tee and Kyle’s (Phil Like) flop shots, we finished with a gross and net score of 60, out of the money. Uncle Brett and I enjoyed the cold beverages.
Ryan was laid to rest on August 9, 2016 at the Mission Park North Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
Ryan,
Your mother and I will miss you dearly, you will always be alive in our hearts. We will keep your legacy alive for your two precious sons, Christopher and Bryson(Oct. 2016). We know you will be looking down on us from the greatest golf course ever created. There will be no three putts in heaven, everything is a gimme, pick it up, it’s all good. #Breaking 80 is a sure thing. You will always play from the Championship tees. Never lose your smile and continue to follow your passions. You are at peace with the Lord, continue to blog and continue to send us your “God Winks”. Enjoy that cold beer with Papa, Yoyo, and Bape, they will be there to welcome you into God’s Paradise. And remember, Papa will not give you any stokes. We love you Ryno, thank you for being our son. And thank you Lord for giving us Ryan Randall for the time you did.
