I'm happy to announce the official launch of my newest business venture, The Golf Nut Golf Shop. I've been contemplating a lot lately on launching a golf tee shirt website to help take my golf business to the next level and the time is now. I chose Shopify as my retail commerce partner because they offer secure checkouts for customers and integration to include coupons and discounts. The Golf Nut Golf Shop is live and open for business, and I'm starting with this six items: Golf … [Read more...]

Tickets Sold Out For WGC Dell Match Play in Austin
The World Golf Championships-Dell Match Play is coming to Austin March 23-27, and if you want to go see 64 of the best players tee it up, you'll have to get on a waitlist. Tournament officials announced on Friday all tickets have been officially sold out, making this the quickest sell out in event history. Dell signed on as title sponsor of the WGC Match Play earlier last spring and the venue change to Austin will mark the sixth move for the event since it's inception in 1999. Austin … [Read more...]
Sammy Schmitz Raises $25,000 to Pay For Masters Prep. Should It Violate His Amateur Status?
From the outside, Sammy Schmitz is your typical American guy. He's married, has a couple kids, and schleps to work everyday as a regional director at a healthcare services company. What isn't typical about this 35-year Wisconsin resident is the opportunity that awaits him next April when he tees it up at Augusta National Golf Club for The Masters. Schmitz earned the opportunity of a lifetime by winning the U.S. Mid-Am Championship victory two weeks ago at John's Island Club in Vero Beach, … [Read more...]
Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Draft Kings Fantasy Golf Picks
Last week when I made my fantasy golf picks, I had mentioned I wanted to track my bankroll during the season and see what I win or lose during the 2015-2016 PGA Tour season. I started with a $250 bankroll and will not spend more then 10% of my bankroll each week on lineups. My initial plans call for 1-2 different lineups spread through several different leagues. I'm still rolling with that plan as of now but could make changes to it later depending on how my averages are doing. At the … [Read more...]
59Watch Launching New TV Show Pitting Amateurs Versus Pros
A new golf TV show will be launching soon and I have to admit, I'm pretty intrigued by the concept being presented. 59Watch is currently in pre-production and a full grass roots fundraising campaign is underway to try and get the show launched. What I like most about 59Watch is the effort to grow the game of golf within different outlets that are becoming more popular in the game. 59Watch is going to appeal to the hard-core golf fans like myself, but also attract the attention of younger … [Read more...]
Frys.com Open Draft Kings Fantasy Golf Picks
Alright folks, it's time to play some golf. And win some money on Draft Kings. The Frys.com Open tees it up in Napa on Thursday for the start of the 2015-2016 PGA Tour season. This season I am taking a more calculated approach to my Draft Kings fantasy golf picks. I have been working on some spreadsheets to track week-to-week player performance along with past performances at each golf course on the PGA Tour schedule. I will be looking to make some money this year with my Draft Kings … [Read more...]
