Today is going to be a tremendous episode! Welcome to episode 005 of The Golf Nut Podcast!
Justin Rose won in record-setting fashion in closing out the weekend with a 65-66 to finish 22-under and take home the Zurich Championship at the rain soaked TPC Louisiana over the weekend. The fellas had to deal with over 10 hours of rain delays and suspensions but managed to play 30+ holes on Sunday to get all 72 in.
This week also marks the start of the WGC Cadillac Match Play Championship at TPC Harding Park. The top 64 players in the world will be teeing it up in a new format this year to allow for the guys to play at least 3 rounds over Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. What happens after that is up to them.
Here are your groupings for Wednesday – Friday.
In the final segment of The Golf Nut Podcast, I’m introducing a new segment called #AskTheGolfNut. I have two questions submitted on Twitter:
@UWedge at GoFundMe.com/59Watch: Assuming golf’s youth movement is a good thing and is here to stay, should Tour revise late career exemptions?
@AdamJFonseca at GolfUnfiltered.com: Forced to play either for rest of your life: Augusta or St Andrews?
Thanks to Adam and John for their questions and it’s my goal to get to every question submitted to #AskTheGolfNut. So if you submitted a question, I thank you and will get yours answered in future episodes.
