Chip-In’s (the good)
Bubba Watson Wins His Second Green Jacket
I have to admit I was the first to say I didn’t think Bubba had it in him. I mean, he hasn’t done anything since 2012 when he won his first major championship and I thought no way in hell he would ever do it again. I was wrong. Everything came together for Bubba Watson on Sunday at The Masters while he outlasted Jordan Spieth to slip on his second green jacket in the last two years. The best part of the whole tournament, his family was there to share with him this time, and his son was there to walk out to him on the 18th green. Congrats Bubba!
Jordan Spieth Plays Older Than His Age
Poised and mature. These are just a couple words used to describe Jordan Spieth going into the final round on Sunday at Augusta. Although he might have lost his cool a couple times on the back 9, he still maintained great composure throughout the whole tournament. I think it says a lot for a 20-year old to stand up to the camera and give a thoughtful and meaningful interview. I think Spieth really picked up a great deal of fans even though he didn’t win. He played well beyond his age and will get his first major championship
Chunks (the bad)
Luke Donald. Ernie Els. Phil Mickelson. Sergio Garica. Dustin Johnson.
These are just a few of the biggest names in golf who failed to make it to the weekend at Augusta. Rory McIlroy ended up finishing on the cut number and had a great weekend to end up with a top-10 finish. At first, I thought it was going to be a horrible weekend of golf but it truly ended up being a great event. These guys need to figure it out because the U.S Open is just a couple months away.
