Ah yes. Sunday at The Masters. Is there a better Sunday in all of golf? The azaleas are in full bloom, the golf course is perfect, and CBS Sports has somehow figured a way to put a microphone on the birds.
There’s currently only 13 players under-par going into the final round. All these guys are within 5-shots of the lead, which means anything can happen today and the green jacket is up for grabs to anyone who wants to shoot a good round today.
Leading the way is Jordan Spieth and Bubba Watson, who will be paired together in the final group. Spieth has not shot a round in the 60’s this week, but three under-par rounds is good enough to get him in position to be the youngest Masters winner in golf history. Bubba Watson on the other hand, shot Thursday and Friday rounds in the 60’s and seemed to have full control of his game, until nerves seemed to get to him on a couple long putts on Saturday.
Behind these guys, you have more star power with the likes of Matt Kuchar, Rickie Fowler, Jim Furyk, Lee Westwood and Justin Rose all within striking distance.
So who’s gonna take this thing today? Well I am predicting 7-under par is going to win the tournament. That means either Jordan Spieth or Bubba Watson are going to have to shoot a 2-under 70 to get to that number.
The 2014 Masters winner is going to come out of one of those last three groups. We are not going to see any scores lower than 68 today, which only gives six guys a shot at the coveted green jacket – Jordan Spieth, Bubba Watson, Jonas Blixt, Matt Kuchar, Rickie Fowler and Miguel Angel Jimenez.
Now I suck at making golf picks, just look at my track record and my PGATOUR Fantasy standings. But there’s always a next time and the next time is now.
Jordan Spieth will emerge at the winner today of the 2014 Masters!

Short answer to this question is “no”. No better Sunday in golf. Especially considering how boring the US Open final round was this year….
