I haven’t given an update lately on my pursuit of domination in the PGA Tour Fantasy golf game. In all honestly, I am really sucking it up. My best week of golf picks was the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
In the overall standings, I am sitting in 1,920th place with a total of 2,594 points. The first place guy has a total of 5,144 points, so you can see I have some ground to make up.
This week I am going to have a big jump. I have exchanged texts with my selected players this week and they all insure me they are ready to play. (Just Kidding)
Anyways, here are my Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf picks for this week:
Dustin Johnson
Two wins at Pebble in 2009 and 2010 make Dustin my overall favorite. He played well at Pebble and on top of that probably has Paulina with him, so that is a plus.
Jason Day
I am just waiting for Jason to have a breakout year. In breakout year, I mean win a major. He’s Australian and I am 1/4 Australian, so I always root for the Aussies. He’d played well in the past at Pebble including a 6th place finish last year.
Pat Perez
He’s been knocking on the door the last two weeks at Torrey and Phoenix. Pat just can’t seem to put it all together on Sunday and make that big move. He’s hot so that’s why I’m taking him this week. He might be able to get me some good points for the week if he continues his great play.
Graeme McDowell
The U.S Open champ at Pebble in 2010 is coming back for the first time since winning that major. He really did make any excuses on why he hasn’t come back but said 2013 was pretty crazy for him. He claims he’s in a good spot to play golf now. That’s why I wouldn’t be surprised to see Graeme near the top, and banking me some good fantasy points.
What do you think? Do you have a favorite? Phil Mickelson is there. Jordan Spieth is playing. Two time winner and San Antonio local Jimmy Walker is there as well! Who do you think will win? Let us know on Facebook or Twitter @Front9Back9.
