I know, it’s been a while since I last posted. In fact, my last post was the Monday after the U.S. Open. Time flies when you have an 8-month old son crawling around the house along with new job responsibilities at work and beginning efforts to get a real estate investing business off the ground. Either way, I’ve neglected Front9Back9.com and I am going to make a better effort at building it back up.
So let’s do a quick recap of what has happened in the golf world since my last post back in June.
- Phil Mickelson won the British Open.
- Tiger Woods didn’t win the British Open but said his year has been a success so far.
- Tiger Woods won a regular tour even at WGC Tournament at Bridgestone .
- Jason Dufner won the PGA Championship.
- Tiger Woods didn’t win the PGA Championship and said his year has been a success anyways.
- Adam Scott won the The Barclays.
- Henrik Stenson won The Deutsche Back Championship.
- Zach Johnson won the BMW Championship.
- Tiger Woods had another rules violation.
- After two rounds at the TOUR Championship, Tiger Woods is in 28th place but still has a chance to win FedEx Cup
Yes you read that last statement correct. Tiger Woods has shot an unimpressive 73-71 at East Lake Golf Club and is third from last but still has a shot to win $10 million if the stars align in his favor. The projected points as of this morning put Tiger in 2nd place behind Henrik Stenson. Two solid rounds by Tiger this weekend and moving up the leaderboard will give him a good shot at the title. He just needs Stenson, Adam Scott, Zach Johnson or Matt Kuchar to not win and he will probably win the FedEx Cup again.
That would be hilarious and once again we will have to hear how much of a successful year Tiger had even though he didn’t win any majors and blah, blah, blah. WIN MAJORS TIGER THAT’S ALL I CARE ABOUT.
