How many times do you see headlines pop when the 58th ranked player in the world is leading a golf tournament on Friday on another continent? When that player is Tiger Woods, it all makes perfect sense. It’s been nearly a year, but it seems Tiger Woods is finally playing some golf. Tiger fired a 5-under 67 on Friday in Australia in his tune up tournament before the Presidents Cup next week.
Does this mean Tiger Woods is back? It’s too early to tell for now, but this, along with many other questions can be answered if Tiger can hold on through the weekend and pull out his first victory since the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines. The last time he led a tournament was during the third round of the Chevron World Challenge last December.
Stay tuned because it could shape up to be a great golf weekend down under.
