It’s been about a week since I last wrote anything; I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off working on some things. I did get a chance to watch the ending of the Northern Trust Open yesterday and boy was I rooting for Fred Couples. It didn’t end up working out too well for him, but it’s good to see Aaron Baddeley back in the winner’s circle.
When I turned on the Golf Channel coverage around noon on Sunday, Fred Couples was on the second hold and had just birdies #1. He went on to birdie #2 and #3 and looked poised to take it to the house. When I returned from registering for dishes for my upcoming nuptials, he was back at 8-under. DOH!! Granted I did have the tournament pulled up on my iPhone while I was gone and paid more attention to that then the color of dishes we were getting.
While I was MIA last week, I did not make my picks for the Northern Trust Open, but I did happen to make my picks in Fantasy, and I scored a total of 174 points for the week, thanks to my Fred Couples pick, along with Bill Haas and Justin Rose. I moved up just a bit, but not enough to make any headlines. I think I need to look forward to the Spring series.
Oh well, congratulations to Aaron Baddeley. On to the Match Play.
