During my “real” job today, Mark Wilson won the Waste Management Phoenix Open in the second playoff hole over Jason Dufner, notching his second victory of the year in only three events. The play ended today because of the long frost delays Thursday-Sunday, which forced a Monday finish. Mark Wilson took a big lead in the Fed Ex Cup points race, but it’s still early in the year.
Two Gloves Gainey? If you wondering what happened to him over the weekend? Well he triple bogeyed the 17th hole in the final round, taking him completely out of the tournament. Vijay Singh on the other hand had a great tournament, finishing in a tie for 3rd place. It looks like Vijay could be poised to have a great year.
Now on to the important stuff, how I fared with my fantasy team. Well once again I sucked. I picked the wrong players AGAIN and I dropped spots to #95. I think it’s time to change up my strategy. I thought I was going to have a great week with my picks. Just goes to show how much I don’t know. How could you go wrong with Phil Mickelson, Hunter Mahan, Rickie Fowler, and Anthony Kim? These four players let me down tremendously and I think they are going to get a benching from me for the next couple weeks.
Oh well, on to Pebble Beach for another 8 hour round with the celebrities playing and Tiger Woods and the big boys are in Dubai playing in a very tough field with the top players entered. I will have two sets of picks this week so be looking out for those later in the week.
Congratulations to Mark Wilson for picking up his second win of the year already. He has already had a year most guys dream about and we are just in February.

I’m in between jobs so I did get to see it. The win was good but the 7 on the 17 by Tommy “Two-Gloves” was painful to watch.

I saw it on Golf Channel. It sure was painful to even watch the replay. He just got super flustered I think. Hopefully he will learn from it.
