Adams Golf announced today it has purchased Yes! Golf from a bankruptcy auction, paying a total of $1.65 million for the company’s remaining assets. The deal is expected to close in the next couple days and Adams Golf has announced Yes! Golf operations will be integrated within the Adams operations in Plano, TX.
Adams Golf is known for game improvement clubs, along with it’s top selling hybrid clubs. Over the last few years they have released more and more good looking players irons, and the new forged Idea Tech V3 series clubs have landed on the Golf Digest Hot List. The one thing Adams has really lacked is a putter, and the purchase of the Yes! Golf patents and technology will allow Adams to jump in the putter business pretty quick. Jim Furyk and Retief Goosen are some of the biggest names that use Yes! putters, and Adams already has Chad Campbell, Aaron Baddeley and Ryan Moore as tour players.
I think this is a great purchase for Adams Golf. I play Adams irons right now and if Adams can take Yes! Putters to the next level this purchase will pay off numerous times over in the coming years.
