The headlines seemed to be dominated around mid-day today with word that Tiger Woods committed to the Farmers Insurance Open. While not such a big surprise, this will be his first tournament at Torrey Pines since he won that dramatic U.S. Open in 2009 on a broken leg. Woods has dominated Torrey Pines, winning the Farmers six times over his career, along with the 2009 U.S. Open.

Well I hope it is “game time” for Tiger Woods. I predicted five wins in 2011, along with two majors. Torrey Pines is perfect for him. He knows the course like the back of his hand. But nobody is scared of Tiger Woods anymore. Nobody tees it up next to him and feels intimidated, and that is the biggest advantage he held over his opponents in years past.
We will see next week when he shows up in La Jolla. I can tell you one thing, he will probably be in my fantasy group for the week…
