The five round Bob Hope Classic starts today in La Quinta, and it’s time for a good week of picks. I have moved up a few spots in Devil Ball’s fantasy league, and need another good move this week. These players should get the job done for me this week:
Charley Hoffman– This is the first tournament of 2011 for Hoffman, and I am looking for Hoffman to have a breakout type year. A win at the Hope will go a long way to start the year off right.
Chad Campbell– In his first tournament of 2011, Chad finished tied for 13th at the last week at the Sony Open. He hit the ball pretty well, and Chad is a player I root for throughout the year. I am hoping this fellow Texan can get an early win.
Jeff Overton– After a great 2010, Overton has some big shoes to fill in 2011. He missed the cut last week at the Sony Open so it is not off to a particularly good start. Maybe the extra practice time helped him for this week.
Ryan Moore– Last year Ryan finished in a tie for 10th place at the Bob Hope. How is a 69-67-66-67-69 good for a tie for 10? Well, that is the Hope for you. You better go low and Moore can definitely do that.
Do you have a favorite this week? Let me know below.

I like the Ryan Moore pick. I had Bubba Watson but first tournament of the year I think is tough to win (Hoffman).
It seems to me every week we can pick Kuchar and he will be playing late on Sunday.

You are right in saying Kuchar seems to be an easy pick each week. One thing I do know, you better go low. The leader is sitting at 9-under right now… Thanks for your input.
