The Golf Channel had it’s big night of premiers, and I think I am going to enjoy both of these shows: The Haney Project with Rush Limbaugh and Pipe Dream.
In typical Rush Limbaugh fashion, it looks like Hank had to go to West Palm Beach, FL to do the show. If I am not mistaken, I believe Ray Romano got on a plane and went to Dallas for the first show. The funniest part so far, during the commercial after the first segment, Rush started off warming up. He proceeded to hit one fat, and say “That was a little Oprah.” It was pretty funny and Hand got a good kick out of it. One thing is for sure he talks a lot. This is not a surprise since he does it for a living. He is already an OK golfer and I think Hank will have no problem teaching him some things and at the end of the show Rush will be a much better golfer.
The next show up is Pipe Dream. Mark Burk is homeless, and living in construction pipes in Palm Springs. He is working his way trying to get back into professional golf. He played pro golf starting in 1988 and played all over the world in different mini tours. He has spent his entire life around golf, and has now lost it all due to some personal problems. I think the show is going to turn out to be one of those fuzzy little feel good stories. We all need a story like this sometimes to make us realize everything can be taken away from us very quickly, and maybe this show can help many people appreciate what they have. It just seems this is kind of played up a little much. I mean he has so many friends and contacts still who he is in contact with during the show. Nobody can help him out for the next seven weeks while he tries to get it back? We will see where the show goes.
I will definitely tune in next week and I have already set my DVR in case I have to miss any episodes.
Did anyone else see the shows? What did you think?
