So I was reading an article on PGATOUR.com trying to explain the numerous scenarios that could play out today in the final round of the Tour Championship and who could possibly be crowned the next Fed Ex Cup Champion. Halfway through the article I gave up and skimmed the rest of the article. There are so many different scenarios and I am just going to let the TV telecast explain it to me during the round tomorrow.
It sure is setting up to be a great finish though. It doesn’t look like Phil Mickelson will overtake #1 in the world again this week unless he shoots lights out tomorrow. He needs to get at least a second place by himself or a win to overtake the top spot. That won’t happen though. He is seven strokes back going into the final round. I just don’t think Phil really has any desire to become the top ranked player.
I would like to see Jim Furyk win the tournament and take home the $10 million Fed Ex Cup prize. Luke Donald will also be a good story after the injuries he has endured over the last year or so. But we will see, it should be a great finish.
Next up, the Ryder Cup!!
