Bubba Watson finally gets his first PGA Tour win. On the second playoff hole, after a near hole out on the first playoff hole, then a clutch putt by Scott Verplank to extend the playoff, Bubba Watson knocked in a 4 footer for par to bring home the win. I have been rooting for Bubba for years and he has had great chances to win but could not just close it out in other tournaments.
Corey Pavin made a great effort with a sand shot on the first playoff hold and Scott Verplank missed an 8 footer for par on the second hole to give Bubba the victory. He shed some tears with his wife after the round and in the interview with Feherty said his dad was fighting cancer right now. So what a great way to give back to his parents. Bubba is just a great person and he deserves the win.
Congrats to Bubba!! I am happy for you… Now on to the AT&T and Tiger Woods back on the course… See you next week.
