This skank needs to go away. Really, she does. Yes I am talking about the porn star who alleges an affair with Tiger Woods and is on some kind of obsessed mission to get back at him. OK great, you had an affair with Tiger Woods. A LOT of women did. YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL. I don't care if you have a website and you plan on posting more emails or text messages or pictures or whatever else you are going to do. You are irrelevant and you need to go away. People are moving on from the fact … [Read more...]

Arnold Palmer: The Most Gracious Public Figure Ever
I am sitting here watching the coverage of the Arnold Palmer Invitational on the Golf Channel and Kelly Tilghman and Frank Nobilo are in the broadcast booth with Arnold Palmer on air right now. I have been working on a few things so I don't know exactly how long he had been in there, but I want to say it has been at least an hour or longer. While I am sitting here working, and watching the tournament at the same time, I have come to realize Arnold Palmer is the most gracious public figure … [Read more...]
Love For The Masters
Davis Love III hasn't played the Masters in two years. But with the impressive 66 he carded today it looks like the little tournament in Augusta in two weeks may be in the back of his mind. After the first day of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Love III has put himself in position where three more good rounds could possibly put him in the mix by Sunday. And a victory would put him in The Masters. At this point the only way he would get in is a victory this weekend or a victory next week at … [Read more...]
Yahoo Fantasy Golf Update
So after last week at the Transitions Championship, I moved up two spots to #18 in the Fans of Devil Ball Yahoo Fantasy golf league. Thanks to a great win by Jim Furyk. I had Furyk in my B group so that got me some great points. And why is Jim Furyk in the B group? The #6 ranked player in the world and he still is in the B group. Maybe they will re-position the players at the start of the spring season. Either way, I was hoping to move up closer to the top 10 so I would have a good shot … [Read more...]
Rookie Diary: Mallory Blackwelder
A few days ago I wrote about a great blog I found on GolfWeek.com. Chris Wilson is writing a weekly piece on his life and adventures as a rookie on the PGA Tour. Now, I found another Rookie Diary for a player on the LPGA , Ladies European Tour, and the Duramed Futures Tour. Mallory Blackwelder is in her first year as a pro and will share her insights on travel and playing all over the world. Mallory is 22 years old and just graduated from the University of Kentucky so she is pretty young out … [Read more...]
A Supersize Deal: Michelle Wie Lands A New Sponsor
A little over a month after Michelle Wie signed a new sponsorship deal with car company Kia, she has just landed another deal with a corporate giant. McDonald's has signed Wie to a two year endorsement deal and from looks of the deal, she will be the new face for McDonald's in the U.S. Asian market. The sponsorship deal was announced recently during the filming of a commercial featuring Wie and some friends as they come off the golf course and celebrate at McDonalds. The ad campaign is … [Read more...]
Jim Furyk Wins the Transitions Championship
While a majority of golf fans were watching Tiger Woods and his two rapid fire interview sessions with ESPN and The Golf Channel Sunday evening, Jim Furyk was finishing out his final round at the Transitions Championship to claim his first victory in 32 months. And by the sound of his press conference after the tournament, he didn't really care what people were watching, or what they would be writing about the next day: You know what? Tomorrow, the paper is going to read that I won the golf … [Read more...]
BREAKING NEWS: Tiger Woods Interview Tonight on ESPN???
Over the last hour I have been seeing numerous reports popping up about a one-on-one interview on ESPN tonight with Tiger Woods. I saw it on Sports by Brooks in the RSS feed at the top which was first reported on Twitter by Sports Business Journal's John Ourand. It is now quickly making it's rounds. The LA Times has it on their website saying "a person familiar with the situation tells The Associated Press that ESPN will air a one-on-one interview with Tiger Woods on Sunday night. The … [Read more...]
Rookie Diary: Chris Wilson
I came across a blog a few days ago I wanted to share with everyone. I enjoyed it so much I added it to my blog roll and will be checking it out weekly. Chris Wilson is a 25 year old PGA Tour rookie. Each week he has been writing a diary post for GolfWeek.com that chronicles his rookie season on the PGA Tour. It really gives a good insight into what these guys go through weekly. From people on the outside looking in, the life of a PGA Tour pro may seem lucrative. But after 8 starts this … [Read more...]
Tiger Woods Mistresses Still Think They Are Relevant
I have had a couple days now to digest and absorb the text messages a former porn actress posted on a new website claiming to be from Tiger Woods. I want to preference this post by saying I am a huge Tiger Woods fan. So this post may seem like a Tiger apologist and I admit it is. It may also sound a little sexist which I apologize for upfront. But this stuff needs to be said. I am not going to give this porn actresses name or website on my site because she doesn't dererve any more run. … [Read more...]
Tiger Woods Coming Back for The Masters
While some people will say Tiger Woods should get a tournament under his belt before the Masters and others will say the Masters is the perfect place to make his first start, I am somewhere in the middle. But the one thing I can be sure about is how happy I am to finally hear it from the man himself. He is done with the intense therapy. He is making amends with his wife and family. He has been seen working at his game like crazy. And now it's time for him to get back out and do what made … [Read more...]
How are You Faring in the Fans of Devil Ball Fantasy League?
Well I thought you would never ask. I haven't written about how I stand lately, so here we go. So leading up to The Honda Classic I was sitting in 59th place. But I had a week to remember and jumped 37 places to #22 thanks to a win by Camilo and a great showing by Vijay Singh and Charles Howell III. But after last weeks WGC CA Championship I dropped 4 spots to #26. So I need another good week to make a push to the top. There are only two tournaments, including this week, left in the winter … [Read more...]
Tiger Woods and Hank Haney Back Together
Sources have told The Golf Channel and Golf Digest has confirmed Hank Haney is back in Orlando and has been seen with Tiger Woods at Isleworth practicing. Now what does this mean? Who knows. I am sure speculation will grow over the next week. The WGC CA Championship is this weekend and Tiger already missed the deadline to enter. The Transitions Championship is next week in Tampa and Tiger has never played that tournament in his career. The Tavistock Cup is March 22-23 at Isleworth. Then … [Read more...]
Three Footer for Par: How To Hit a Stinger 3 Wood
This is the first article in a new series I am starting on Front9Back9, called Three Footer for Par. It is a series of golf tips and course management ideas that I hope you can use on the course. Now, I am not a great golfer and I am not a golf coach. So I want to make that clear before getting started. I am strictly getting these tips and strategies from trusted sources like Golf.com or GolfDigest.com, two of the many websites or magazines I read weekly. Before I write about them, I have … [Read more...]
Camilo Villegas Playing Well Right Now
Camilo Villegas shot a cool little 67 today in the 3rd round of the Honda Classic to take a 3 shot lead over Nathan Green and Vijay Singh. I tell you one thing, Camilo is one cool cat. And ripped. Going into the thrid round Anthony Kim was in the hunt and shot a 3-over 73 and is now six shots back. I was hoping Kim would stay in contention all day but he just couldn't get anything going today. Should be a good final round tomorrow. It's also great to hear Johnny Miller and the NBC golf team … [Read more...]
Tiger Woods Returning Soon???
The report broke earlier today that Tiger Woods has been recently seen at home in Isleworth hititng balls and is in the process of getting back into the routine of training. What that means no one really knows. If the reports are true, all it truly means is he could be close to coming back. Of course it is all speculation. All the Tiger talk is speculation. Especially when you have one of the most respected and quite possibly the largest golf magazine, Golf Digest, coming out today and … [Read more...]
Being John Daly
Being John Daly just ended and I have to say I am digging the show. I love John Daly and it seems like the show is going to be a real show for real people. Unlike The Haney Project where you have Ray Romano and Hank Haney flying around the country in a private jet and eating gourmet foods before a show in Vegas. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed The Haney Project and I will watch every episode, but everyone will never experience that. John Daly is a real person and connects with regular everyday … [Read more...]
Hunter Mahan’s Winning Wedge
The day after every PGA Tour event, Golf.com usually posts a breakdown of the clubs the winner used for the week. It gets pretty specific down to which shaft and flex and what loft the player is using. So this week, after the Waste Management Phoenix Open, they had Hunter Mahan's clubs he used in the tournament. Since I play Ping myself, I was really interested to see what he was playing. I noticed he was using the Ping Eye 2 wedge. Yes the same wedge that is "exempt" from the new USGA … [Read more...]
Finally…The Haney Project Premieres Tonight
After what seems like a year of commercials and promotional spots, The Haney Project finally tees off on The Golf Channel tonight. Hank Haney teams up with Ray Romano with the goal of getting Ray to break 80. I guess Ray was on a media tour today because I heard him on the Dan Patrick Show with guest host Tony Bruno. Ray said he has been playing golf for 35 years and has never broke 80. I bet he does it. If he has been playing for that long then he already has an idea what to do. Hank will … [Read more...]
