Bill Haas pulled out his first PGA Tour victory today in the final Round of the Bob Hope Classic. A birdie on the 18th hole gave him a one shot victory over Bubba Watson, Tim Clark, and Matt Kuchar. Good for Bill Hass but DAMMIT!! I wanted to see Bubba Watson take the victory.
Oh well. Bubba will get his first victory sometime and I hope it’s sooner than later.
This year seemed to not be as big of a circus as years past. When you have to play five rounds of golf for the week and top that off with celebrites hitting it all over the course, it could imagine it could really turn into a miserable week for the pros. The rain may have calmed it a bit on the course but I am sure some good partying was going on during the delays.
On to Torrey Pines and the new and the newly sponsored Farmers Insurance Open. Phil Mickleson will be making his season debut.
Speaking of Phil… I wander if I should start him this week in my fantasy league……
